LOMPOC, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams returned to the starting line for their second meet of the 2025 season, hosting five teams in Lompoc, California at the Mission Club Golf Course. Building off their debut wins in Malibu, the Gauchos delivered another strong performance in the men's 8k and women's 6k. With both squads showing depth, UCSB proves that its early-season success is just the beginning.
HOW IT HAPPENED

On the women's side, freshman Addie Oversmith carried over the momentum from the 8k and led the Gauchos on the 6k course with a fourth place finish and a time of 21:30.1. She was followed closely by Danielle Hollander in eighth clocking in 22:13.1, along with Axelle Allanic in tenth with a time of 22:21.7. UC Santa Barbara Athletics and both Cross Country teams would like to thank the Mission Club for their generous hospitality and all the community members who came out to support the event.
Up next, the Gauchos will have a two-week window to recover and train for the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Oregon, hosted by Willamette on October 4. The men are set to race on the 8k course, while the women will compete in the 5k event.
