CERES, Calif. (Sept. 10) – One week after opening their 2026 season, the UC Santa Barbara Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will head to Ceres, California, for the Kim Duyst Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12.

LAST MEET
Both Gaucho squads kicked off the 2026 season with second-place finishes at the Gaucho Twilight. On the women's side, Addie Oversmith led Santa Barbara with a fourth-place finish in the 4K (13:56.4), followed by Ryann Strawn in ninth (14:12.4) and Virginia Knight in 11th (14:15.4) in her Gaucho debut. Sierra Gill and Alexa Bryson also finished inside the top 20, contributing to the 49 point team score.
For the men, Will Mulliken led the way in fifth (18:20.8), with Manny Correia close behind in sixth (18:25.7). Camden Leucht and freshman Carson Ehman also finished in Santa Barbara's top four, helping the Gauchos earn second overall with 50 points.
COMING UP
Two weeks later, the Gauchos will head to the mid-west to compete at the Chicago Lakefront, hosted by Loyola Chicago, on Friday, Sept. 25. UCSB will then return to action in October at the Highlander Invitational for its final tune-up before postseason competition begins with the Big West Championships, hosted by UC Riverside on Halloween.
