Former UCSB pitcher Kenny Chapman joined the Gaucho coaching staff in the 2016 offseason as an undergraduate assistant coach. 

With UCSB, Chapman will serve as the bullpen coach. He will also assist with pitching instruction and serve alongside pitching coach Matt Harvey during bullpen sessions.

As a player, Chapman spent four seasons with the Gauchos. Plagued by injuries, he was solid when healthy evidenced by his 2.46 ERA in conference play during the 2013 season. He pitched in 55 1/3 innings over 27 appearances in his career and was on the roster for UCSB's run to the College World Series in 2016.
