Big West Academic All-Conference honoree … Made 11 appearances, starting eight of them … Tallied 46 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings of work on the season … Worked three quality starts on the year, at Pepperdine (April 18), versus UC Davis (April 30), and at UC Riverside (May 7) … Recorded career highs for both innings pitched and strikeouts against the Highlanders on May 7, working seven frames and striking out 10 … Worked 4 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out seven batters against San Jose State on April 10 before the game was suspended due to fog.
2022
Big West Academic All-Conference honoree … Appeared in nine games, starting eight of them … Earned two wins, striking out 32 batters in 35 1/3 innings of work … Struck out seven batters in just three innings of work against No. 25 UCLA on March 29 … Worked a season-high 5 2/3 innings in both of the Gauchos’ matchups with St. Mary’s, March 22 and May 10, earning the win in both games.
2021
Made 16 appearances, including 10 starts … Struck out 50 batters in 57 innings … worked seven innings for the first time in his career on May 2 against Cal Poly, striking out a season-high six Mustangs … Also tallied six K’s in 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball against Hawai’i on April 4.
2020
Made four appearances with two starts in his freshman season … Finished with a 2-0 record and 1.76 ERA in 15 1/3 innings of work … Earned his first collegiate in the first-ever night game at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium (against California on February 17), pitching four shutout innings with six strikeouts … Won his first collegiate start against Loyola Marymount (February 25) with six innings of one-run ball … Started UC Santa Barbara’s victory over No. 1 UCLA (March 3), working the first four innings and striking out four Bruins … Earned his first collegiate save with 1 1/3 relief innings on the road at No. 25 Oregon State (March 8), helping UC Santa Barbara secure the series sweep.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned three varsity letters pitching at West Ranch High, setting the Wildcats single-season ERA record as a sophomore ... Helped lead the team to three postseason appearances and a National Classic Tournament championship ... Had a 1.54 ERA with 64 strikeouts in 54 innings as senior, earning him First Team All-CIF, Foothill League Pitcher of the Year.
