UC Santa Barbara

2016: Made 10 appearances for the Gauchos in his senior season, including two starts ... Went 2-1 with a 3.80 ERA over 23.2 IP, including 35 strikeouts ... Was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ... Had a team-high 13.3 K/9 rate ... Was named to the Nashville Regional All-Tournament Team after earning a win and a save over two outings, in which he struck out 10 and allowed no runs in four innings ... His best outing came against Xavier, when struck out seven of the eight batters he faced and picked off the other at first base ... Started UCSB's final game of the season against Arizona in the College World Series, allowing three earned runs in three-plus innings as he took the loss ... Was a member of UCSB's rotation to open the season, but suffered an injury in the fifth inning of his first start against USF ... Was thought to be lost for the season, but worked hard in rehab and re-joined the team on May 1 ... Was unscored upon in six of his eight relief appearances ... Did not appear in the Super Regionals at Louisville ... Other standout outings: 4.1 IP, 5 K, 1 ER vs. UC Irvine on May 21, struck out the side in his one inning of work vs. CSU Bakersfield on May 10 ... Was used as a pinch-runner in a 9-5 win at UC Irvine on May 22 ... He and Devon Gradford celebrated with their graduation gowns on after defeating Louisville in the Super Regionals. 

2015: Redshirted with UCSB ... Spent the summer with the Wisconsic Rapid Rafters of the Northwoods League, where he had 30 strikeouts and a 3.57 ERA in just 22 2/3 innings pitched. 

Virginia Tech (2014): Made three appearances for the Hokies, allowing three runs in 1.1 innings pitched ... Two of his three outings were scoreless, including a shutout frame against Appalachian State.

Bakersfield College (2012-13): Played two years at Bakersfield College under Tim Painton ... Went 5-3 with a 3.98 ERA as freshman ... Went 5-4 with a 3.80 ERA as a sophomore ... Was a Second Team All-Conference selection in both of his seasons ... Made the All-Conference Scholar Team in 2013 ... Tossed a nine inning, complete game shutout with 10 punchouts against College of the Sequoias in 2012.

High School:  Played three years at Stockdale High School under head coach Dan Lemon ... As a senior, went 5-4 with a 2.90 ERA ... As a junior, went 6-2 with a 3.50 ERA ... Also played center field for the Mustangs ... Had 16 strikeouts in a seven inning complete game shutout of Independence High School in 2011 ... Also competed in basketball and football in his freshman and sophomore years ... Made CIF playoffs in 2009 and 2010, including a CIF Central Section Valley Championship in 2009.
