Collegiate Baseball News Freshman All-American … Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year … All-Big West Second Team selection … Named Big West Pitcher of the Week after allowing just one run in eight innings on the road at CSUN (April 10) … Started all 15 of his games, working 83 innings and posting an 8-0 record … Ranked third on the team with 67 strikeouts … Struck out a career-high nine batters over 5 2/3 shutout innings against Long Beach State (April 24), scattering three hits … Struck out seven batters in his postseason debut against No. 2 Stanford at the NCAA Stanford Regional (June 5).
