• In the regional-opener against No. 23 Oklahoma St. (Jun. 4), Rodriguez’s sac fly scored three runs for the Gauchos and he himself collected a run as well
• In the elimination game against No. 23 Oklahoma St. (Jun. 6), Rodriguez went 2-for-4, scoring three runs and also had a stolen base and RBI to help UCSB to a 13-3 win

• Zach Rodriguez attended Vista Murrieta High School
• Played three years on the varsity team for head coach George Jones
• Played both outfield and infield
• Broke the school record with 27 RBI his sophomore year
• Hit .429 his junior year with a school record-tying 45 hits to go along with 20 RBI and 10 stolen bases
• Was a two-year captain of the team
• Was named First Team All-League, a CBCA HS All-Star, and to the CA All-State team his junior year

• Holds the schools record with a .374 career batting average
