Graduated from Henry M. Gunn High School after transferring in as a sophomore from Seijo Gakuen in Tokyo, Japan…Went to state championships two years in a row and qualified for a third time before cancellation due to COVID-19…Swam breaststroke leg of record-holding 200 Medley Relay.

Shogo Moridaira was born on June 27, 2001 to parents Shigeo and Mariko Moridaira in Tokyo, Japan…Moved to Palo Alto, Calif. from Tokyo by himself during sophomore year of high school and lived with a host family…Has a younger brother Shunsuke…Majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics and has the goal of starting his own business…Favorite athlete is Kosuke Kitajima…Most memorable sports moment was making A-Final at 2019 Winter Junior Nationals…Favorite movie is Fast and Furious…Hobbies include watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Also recruited by University of the Pacific and UCSD.
