Amanda Ball will enter her fourth season at UCSB as one of the best offensive players in the Big West Conference and on the West Coast...Enters the year with 17 career goals and four assists for 38 points.

2016                                                                                                                                
Ball was named First Team All-Big West following her junior season...Played in and started 16 matches before her season ended with an ankle injury... Also earned Second Team All-Far West honors...Selected Big West Player of the Week twice...First Gaucho to score 10 goals in a season since 2005...Finished the campaign with 10 goals and one assist for a team-leading 21 points...Scored a hat trick against Fresno State...Added two goals in a win over Pittsburgh...One of her goals against Pitt was on a penalty kick...Also scored on a PK at Cal Poly...Had game-winning goals against Fresno State, St. Mary's and UNLV...Launched 49 shots overall, including a season-high eight against St. Mary's...Had four or more shots in seven of her appearances.

Ball played in 12 games during her sophomore season at UCSB, starting in six, all in conference...Was named Second Team All-Big West and earned Third Team All-Region by the NSCAA..Scored five goals in total, two of them were game-winners against Hawai'i and Cal State Fulelrton. Took at least 2 shots each game..and assisted two goals against UC Riverside, one of them being the tie-breaker in second overtime to Chace Schorstein.. Scored a penalty kick against Hawai'i.

2014
Ball played in 12 matches as a freshman, starting seven...Scored two goals and added an assist for five points...Scored one goal apiece in the season's first two matches and both were game-winners...Had three shots and a goal in a win over Cleveland State in the regular season opener and followed that performance up with three more shots and another goal against Southern Utah...Assisted on a Madison Beckley goal in a 2-2 tie at Cincinnati...After her quick start to the season, Ball was limited over the final 15 matches with injuries...Finished with 22 shots, including a season-high five against Hawai'i. 

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB

Ball attended Chino Hills High School...Played forward and midfield and helped her prep team to the CIF semifinals and quarterfinals...Coached by Andy Plascencia.

Ball was born June 14, 1996 in Pomona, Calif....The daughter of William Ball and Beverly Wilkins...Undeclared major at UCSB...Hopes to get into some area of sports medicine.
