Kate Shoemaker has started most of her first three seasons and that should once again be the case in her final year as a Gaucho...Has three goals and five assists for 11 points...Has played in 54 career matches, starting 49.

2016
Shoemaker played in and started 18 of the 19 matches during her junior season...Had one goal and one assist for three points...Scored her lone goal of the season in a 2-1 win over Cal State Fullerton...While she had seven shots on the year, she had one on frame and she put that one home against the Titans.

2015
Shoemaker started in all 20 matches that she played in her sophomore season..She tallied a total of 13 shots, two of them finding the back of the net.. Both being headers off corner kicks one in a win against St.Francis and the other against Cal Poly. 

2014
Shoemaker had a solid freshman season at UCSB...Started 11 of the 16 contests in which she played...Was credited with four assists, all in her last 10 appearances...The Gauchos were 4-0 when Shoemaker assisted on a goal...Had the majority of her success against teams in the Sacramento/San Joaquin area as she had one assist apiece in wins at Sacramento State and Pacific, and another in a home game against UC Davis...Also assisted on a goal against Duquesne...Had two shots on the season, both on frame.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Shoemaker is a graudate of Poway High School where she was a four-year varsity starter as a defender...Selected Honorable Mention All-Palomar League...Helped Poway to the CIF finals in 2011, 2012 and 2013...Poway also won the Palomar League crown in 2013...Played for Jen Lalor-Nielson...Shoemaker was a member of the San Diego Soccer Club where she was coached by Peter Stogsdill...National Cup Finalists in 2012.

Shoemaker was born January 25, 1996...Daughter of Michele and Scott Shoemaker...Also played lacrosse at Poway High, helping the team to the 2013 Palomar League championship...Was selected to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team...Was a Scholar Athlete in high school...Earned Poway's Varsity Soccer Academic Excellence Award...Favorite movies are Good Will Hunting and Forrest Gump...Favorite athletes inldude Bethany Hamilton and Julie Johnston...Favorite novel is The Sun Also Rises...Favorite TV show is That 70s Show...Hobbies include hiking, reading, listening to music and ocean activities...Also recruited by Seattle University and Penn...Hopes to major in environmental studies or biology with a minor in Spanish...Aspires to get into the medical field or some type of environmental work.
