2016 Men's Track and Field
Biography
Gallivan put together a strong second half to his sophomore season, rolling that momentum right into the Big West scoring column. At the Big West Championships he placed sixth in the pole vault with a new lifetime best jump of 16'0.75. He joins teammate Parker Curry as returning BW scorers in the event.
2014-2015
Competed in five meets during his sophomore season. Opened the year with a third place leap of 14'11 at the All-UC. Placed seventh at the Big West Challenge Cup with a vault of 14'9. Hit a jump of 15'7.25 at the Bryan Clay Invite, showing strong improvement from the start of the season. Carried that momentum into the Cal Poly Dual where he placed second with a jump of 15'7. His hot streak continued right into the Big West Championships where he placed sixth with a new lifetime best jump of 16'0.75, his first meet over the 16 foot mark.
2013-2014
Gallivan competed in five meets in his freshman debut season as a Gaucho. Opened the year with a 14'6 pole vault win at the Gaucho Round-Up. Placed third at the All-UC with a mark of 14'5.25 in the pole vault. Set a seasons best mark in the pole vault at the Cal-Nevada Championships, leaping over 14'11.
Prep
Attended Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Ca. Advanced to the CIF Finals after vaulting 15' at the CIF Prelims. High school coach was Greg Woepse.

Parents are John and Shanna Gallivan...Has two siblings- Jack (20) and Grace (15)...Majoring in Economics...Aspires to become an International Business Owner...Enjoys surfing, basketball, skateboarding and snowboarding...Personal hero is Michael Jordan.
