Had five appearances in the 400m hurdles during his freshman campign. Placed fourth, in a scoring position for the Gauchos at the Cal Poly Dual meet. Seasons best time of 58.42 in the 400m hurdles came at the Brian Clay Invite at Azusa Pacific. 

Prep
Attended San Marcos High School where he competed in the hurdcles and 400m. Was the 2012 Channel League Champion in the 300m hurdles in 39.85. Also took third in the 110H at the Channel League Championships. Was awarded Santa Barbara County Track and Field Athlete of The Year Award. 

Personal
Parents are Karen and Pete McBride...Has one brother, Willie...Majoring in Chemical Engineering...Is a Regents Scholar Award recipient...Enjoys playing the guitar, sailing and drawing.
