Graduated from Loyola High School. Qualified for the Southern Section Division One Prelimaries his senior year by finishing second place at his league finals meet. Also dropped 26 seconds off his 3200m time in his final year (9:54.58 to 9:28.92). Coached by Lalo Diaz.

Parents are Julie and Michael Stauber...majoring in film and media studies...career goals include securing a stable job in the entertainment industry...athletic goals involve winning a team conference title in cross country and track and field...hobbies include skateboarding, surfing, and photography.
