Biography
Greg Dotson a talented mid-distance runner for the Gauchos has his sights set on a big senior year. He is the former CIF State Meet runner-up in the 800m and was the fourth fastest 800m prep performer nationally his senior year. He will provide an explosive presence for the Gauchos in the 800m.
2013-2014
Competed in eight competitions for the Gauchos in his signature event, the 800m. Ran 1:52 or faster on five occasions. Set a seasons best at the Oxy Invitational clipping off a 1:51.15 effort. Qualified for the Big West Final after turning in a 1:52.14 performance in the conference prelims. Came back to take seventh overall at the Big West Championships by running 1:52.38. Captured an important second at the Cal Poly Dual, running a 1:52.32.

Dotson had a standout freshman year... He competed in both the indoor and outdoor season for track and showed significant improvement over the course of the year...He placed first in his heat and 30th overall at the Mt. SAC Relays in the 800m where he ran a personal best of 1:51.62...Dotson placed seventh in the finals of the Big West Conference Championships clocking in a time of 1:52.53.
Prep
Two-time Pacific League Champion in the 800m and All-League in the 1600m...Placed second in the Calif. State meet in the 800m...Ranked number four in the U.S. in the 800m.
Personal
Parents are Gregory and Deborah Dotson...Siblings are LaTonya and Marcia Scott...Self-taught drummer and likes to drum in his spare time..."The Hurt Locker" is his favorite movie...Enjoys listening to Rock and Hip Hop.
