Vowels, a dynamic sprinter from Upland, CA will add aspark to the Gaucho relay squads. He was a member of the last threeBig West 4 x 100m teams, including last years third place squad. Asaavy vetran in the short sprints and relay, Vowles will be a keyreturner to a group that was .09 off the 4 x 100m school record in2013. He is a Big West scorer in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100mrelay. 

2012-2013
Was a part of five winning relay teams during the 2013campaign. Set a new PR in the 100m at the Big West Championships,firing off a 10.74 in the prelims to qualify for his first Big West100m final. He would go on to finish 8th in the final. Also set anew PR in the 200m at the Big West Championships with a 21.77effort in the prelims. Stepped up to see action in the 4 x 400mrelay, helping the Gauchos secure a Cal-Nevada meet win in3:12.32. 

2011-2012
Vowels competed in the 100m, 200m and 400m throughout theseason…Posted a best time of 50.18 in the 400m at StanfordInvitational…Was a member of the 4x100m relay at Big WestChampionships.

2010-2011
Competed in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay events thisseason...Ran a personal best time in the 100m at the Cal/NevadaChampionship clocking in a time of 10.81...Placed 12th at the BryanClay Invite where he ran a personal best time fo 21.97...Assistedthe men's 4x100m relay team to a fourth place finish at the BigWest Conference Championship with a personal best relay time of41.35.

Vowels was the school record holder in the 4x100m relayteam...Sierra League Champion in 2009 and 2010...Captained thetrack team in 2010...Recipient of the Richard MillerScholarship...Made Honor Roll all four years in high school.
