Scott broke onto the one lap scene in 2012 by placingsecond at the Big West Championships in the open 400m and helpingthe Gauchos grab a third place podium finish in the 4 x 400m relay.But he was merely setting the stage for his junior encore- Scottwon the 400m at the Big West Championships with a new personal besttime of 46.44. The baton was his going into the anchor leg of the 4x 400m relay, and Scott responded by building his lead down theback stretch, helping the Gauchos punch a back to back ticket tothe NCAA First Round meet with a seasons best3:09.84.

Scott won his first Big West Championship by putting together backto back PR races in the prelims (47.04), and finals (46.44). Healso ran the anchor leg for the UCSB winning 4 x 400m relay in3:09.84, qualifying them for the NCAA First Round for the secondyear in a row. Showing a wide range of abiliy, Scott ran a 1:53.33800m at the UC Riverside Dual meet to take second in a key scoringslot. Guided the Gauchos to a 20th place showing at the NCAA FirstRound in the 4 x 400m relay. Finished 38th in the open 400m at theNCAA First Round competition in 47.67.

Made an immediate impact in the sprints as a freshman...Set acareer best time of 47.98 in the 400m at the Cal/NevadaChampionships and a third place finish...Part of the 4x400m relayteam that ran 3:10.82 finishing third place at the Big WestConference Championships...Also competed in the 800m run where heclocked in a season best time of 1:58.09 at the WestmontQuadrangular.
