Villalba posted a career best mark in the high jump at 6-6.75 atthe Cal/Nevada Championship where he place fifth overall.

Villalba reached the first round of CIF Division 1 in the highjump with his mark of 6-2 his freshman year...Improved his highjump record to 6-6 his junior year in Masters CIF meet...Placedninth in the high jump his senior year at the State Championshipswith a mark of 6-9.

Son of Gregory and Veronica Villalba...Has one sibling,Javier...Chose to attend UCSB because his uncle attended UCSB andloved it, having visited the campus several times as a child,Villalba always wanted to go to UCSB and now he is able torepresent it as a Gaucho on the track and field team...Favoritemovies include Midnight in Paris, Revolver...Some of his favoritebands include Sigor Ros, Blink 182 and Bon Iver...Lists "KiteRunner", "Clockwork Orange" and "Catch 22" as his favoritenovels...Javier Sotomayer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos aresome of his favorite athletes.
