HIGH SCHOOL
Played for three years under coach Jim Pace at Reno High School where she played at second base, shortstop, and in the outfield... As a senior, she was named honorable mention all-league in a year when she secured the Huskies a spot in the regional playoffs with a walk-off triple, which scored three runs in a 5-4 win against Galena High School (5/3/14)… In both her sophomore and junior seasons, Sisson earned first team all-league accolades… A versatile athlete, she also competed in volleyball and basketball for Reno High… Sisson was also successful in the classroom as she graduated with a 3.99 GPA, earned an advanced diploma, and is a member of the National Honors Society.

PERSONAL
Kayla Maureen Sisson was born on March 16, 1996 in Reno, Nev. to parents Tammy and Paul… She has an older brother named Ky… Her most memorable athletic achievements are: winning the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship in 2012 with her travel team, hitting a home run in three consecutive at-bats in the Colorado Tournament in 2013, and committing to play for UC Santa Barbara… She roots for the San Francisco Giants, while she calls Buster Posey her favorite athlete… Her favorite movies are Joe Dirt, Billy Madison, and Bridesmaids… She enjoys watching Breaking Bad… She names Night Road as her favorite novel… She enjoys listening to Jason Aldean, Iration, and Shwayze… She plans on majoring in Communication with a possible minor in Sociology, as she has career aspirations of being an event planner and social worker.
