2016
Second Team All-Big West
Played in 48 games as a senior…Finished the year with a .269 batting average with 35 hits, 21 runs, 18 RBIs, and five walks…Had nine extra base hits and was one of three Gauchos to have at least one double, one triple, and one home run…Was UCSB’s most productive hitter in conference play despite missing its league opening series versus Cal Poly…Led UCSB with a .345 league batting average (fourth in the conference) and 19 hits, second on the team…She missed eight straight games overall to injury, but made her return in a big way with a 5-7 performance in a doubleheader at UC Riverside...By the end of the conference season, she was the only Gaucho to average more than one hit per game (1.06)…Her best weekend came against UC Davis when she recorded three straight two-hit performances and clubbed a homer in the series opener…She ended the year with her first career All-Big West selection and became the fourth Gaucho catcher in five years to be named all-conference.

2015
During her junior year, she appeared in 54 games, and ended the season with six runs and 39 hits, both improvements from her previous year… Stark recorded seven doubles and one home run… She was second on the team with 18 walks... She concluded the season with 20 RBI  and a .277 batting average. 

2014
As a sophmore, Stark appeared in 24 games and had 41 at-bats…She recorded 11 hits (including two doubles), a run, and five RBI…She hit for .268, .317 slugging percentage, and a .394 on-base percentage…She had two multi-hit games in going 2-for-3 versus Utah Valley (2/27/14) and hitting the same mark against Cal State Northridge (4/12/14)…In league play, Stark recorded seven hits, a run, and two walks.

2013
In her first season for the Gauchos, she started at catcher in 54 out of 55 games for the Gauchos...Despite only having a .209 batting average, was tied for 3rd on the team with 17 walks, leading to a .316 on-base percentage...4th on the team with 2 home runs...Hit her first home run as a Gaucho against Pacific(Mar. 29)...

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Agoura High School…Coached by Chance Redmond and Stefan Valentino…Played as catcher…Held a .416 batting average…Earned Honorable Mention honors her freshman year...Garnered First-Team All-League honors her sophomore and senior year.

TRAVEL BALL
Played for the So Cal Pumas 18 Gold…Coached by Gary Keohohou…Names it to be the best organization in the world.

PERSONAL
Samantha was born on September 25, 1993 in Agoura Hills, Calif.…Parents are Don and Julie Stark…Has one older sister, Nicole…Majoring in Film and Media Studies…Aspires to one day be an award winning director…Favorite movies include “Harry Potter,” “Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “The Godfather”…Favorite TV shows are “One Tree Hill,” “Modern Family,” “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live”…Favorite aspect of UCSB is the smell of the lagoon…Most memorable sports moment dates back to her sophomore year, playing in travel ball and hitting the game winning hit against New Jersey Breakers which sent her team the next round.
