Originally from Rohnert Park, California, Jackson O’Neil joined the UC Santa Barbara Sports Medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in August 2024. He works primarily with the men’s soccer and men’s and women’s track and field programs.

O’Neil earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State University and his Master’s degree in Athletic Training from California State University, Fullerton.

During his time at Cal State Fullerton, O’Neil completed clinical rotations across collegiate and high school settings, including the Cal State Fullerton baseball program. In addition to his clinical work, he served as a committee member for the Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Leadership Committee. 

In his free time, O’Neil enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, especially at the beach or on bike rides, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
