Sierra Moreno joined the UC Santa Barbara athletic training staff in January 2023. She currently oversees medical care for women’s basketball and men’s and women’s swimming. 
 
Originally from Long Beach, Moreno attended UC Santa Barbara where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and was a sports medicine intern. After graduating in 2019, she went on to pursue her Master of Science in Athletic Training from Cal State Fullerton. During her time with the Titans, she gained several clinical experiences including an immersive rotation with the university’s NCAA Division I women’s soccer team. She also served as the District 8 representative on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association student leadership committee as she collaborated with students nationwide to advocate for athletic training students.
 
Prior to returning to UC Santa Barbara, Moreno worked as a certified athletic trainer with the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation where she worked to fulfill the organization’s mission of eliminating health equity disparities in Los Angeles from a sports medicine perspective.
 
In her free time, Moreno enjoys being outdoors, watching baseball, and cooking.
