Placed in top 16 in the 100 Breast at MPSF Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Westview High School…Swam under Coach Jake Siegfried and Coach Amy Alexander…Earned the Coach’s Award (2014), Most Inspirational Swimmer (2015), and Palomar League Swimmer of the Year (2015)…All-CIF First-Team (2014-15)…2015 CIF 100 Breaststroke Champion…All-Palomar League First Team (2012-15)…Swam club for Pacific Swim Club under Coach Dan Peck.
PERSONAL
An Nguyen was born Dec. 25, 1996…Is majoring in Environmental Studies…Enjoys exploring new places and going to the beach in her free time…Lists her top pre-race pump up song as “Hooked on a Feeling” by Blue Swede…Enjoys snacking on apples and peanut butter before a meet…Began swimming at age ten…If she could add an event to each meet it would be a 150 IM without the freestyle…Winning the 100 breaststroke at San Diego CIF and being the first to qualify for State Championships from her school is the proudest achievement of her swimming career.
