Jaclyn Rosen

After joining the Gauchos as an assistant coach for the 2020-21 season, Jaclyn Rosen was promoted to head coach before 2021-22. Rosen arrived in Santa Barbara with over a decade of experience in college coaching, spending time at University of San Diego, Bowling Green State University, University of Cincinnati, San Jose State University, and City College of San Francisco. At USD, Rosen coached swimmers who had 16 NIC qualifiers, broke nine school records, and had over 95 lifetime best times. She has coached all groups, but most recently focused on mid-distance and distance groups.

Rosen built on the success and in the 2022-23 season led the Gauchos to a second place finish at the MPSF Championships on the men's side and a fourth place finish on the women's. Following the Championships she named MPSF Coach of the Year. 27 athletes were named All-MPSF with both teams collecting Scholar All-American honors by The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.

In her first season at the helm of both programs Rosen led the Gauchos to second place (men) and fourth place (women) finishes at the MPSF Championships. She coached 28 student-athletes to All-MPSF awards and both teams were named CSCAA Schalar All-American Team.

In a pandemic-shortened first season at UC Santa Barbara, Rosen helped lead the Gauchos to five MPSF individual championships as well as 19 MPSF first-team and 34 MPSF second-team selections.

As a student-athlete, Rosen swam at University of Hawaii where she was a team captain her final two years. She went on to get her Masters of Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Studies and Sport Psychology at San Jose State.
