PERSONAL
Kelsey Leonard was born July 20, 1995…Is currently a Biological Anthropology major at UCSB with the hopes of someday working as a General/Reconstructive Surgeon…Enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and sleeping in her free time…Lists her top pre-race pump up song as “The Catalyst” by Linkin Park…Favorite power snack is Power Berries…Began swimming at age 5…Favorite aspect of college swimming is racing…If she could add an event to each meet it would be a 150 yard butterfly…Coming back from an injury and returning to the competitive swimming world is the proudest achievement of her swimming career.

Graduated from Las Lomas High School…Swam under Coach Sue Miller…Swam club at the Walnut Creek Aquabears under Coach Mike Heaney…4 years as a varsity swimmer…DFAL All League 1st team 2010-2013…DFAL League Record-Holder 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay…DFAL Champion 200 free (2010, 2012-13) and 100 Fly (2010)…High school All-American (2010-2013)…North Coast Section finalist (2010-2013)

Swam under Coach Rick Millington and Coach Todd Krohn…DVC Big 8 Champion and Record Holder in 200 freestyle (2014-15), 500 freestyle (2014-15), 100 butterfly (2014), 200 butterfly (2015), 200 medley relay (2014), and 400 medley relay (2014)…CCCAA State Champion in 200, 500 freestyle, 100, 200 butterfly (2014-15)…CCCAA State Champion and Record Holder in 100 butterfly (2014) and 200 butterfly (2015)…CCCAA State Record Holder in 200 freestyle (2015).
