2019 Cross Country
Competed in five meets for her second cross season. Ran 21:40.6 in a new personal best for 6k at the 39th Annual UCR Invitational to finish as the Gauchos' third scorer in 37th overall. Finished 21st at the Big West Conference Cross Country Championships as the second scorer in another personal best at 21:34.3. Concluded her season at the NCAA West Regional Championships where she finished 164th in a time of 22:26.1.
2018-2019 Track and Field
Competed in six meets for her first season of track. Won her 5000m heat at the UCLA Legends Invite where she put up a time of 17:59.18. Bested that time at the Bryan Clay Invitational where she ran 17:47.18. Set a personal best for 3000m at the Cal Poly Dual Meet where she placed fifth in a time of 10:18.25. Finished her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she was one place off scoring in the 10000m in ninth with a time of 37:05.13.
2018 Cross Country
Competed in six meets for her freshman year of cross. Started off as the No. 4 scorer at the Mark Covert invitational where she ran 18:41.8 for 5k. Scored third for the Gauchos at the Stanford Invitational where she finished 65th in 22:44.9 for 6k. Was the No. 3 scorer again at the Santa Clara University Bronco Invitational where she set a new 6k best of 21:55.7 for 86th. Finished 17th at the Big West Conference Championships in 22:37.3, the highest a true freshman has placed at the conference championships for the Gauchos since Danielle Domenichelli finished 15th all the way back in 2005. Concluded her season at the NCAA West Regional Meet she finished 130th in a time of 21:58.7.
Prep
Graduated from Campolindo High School where her team took the Division 3 Title at the 2017 CIF State Championships in cross country where she was 12th overall as an individual in 18:53.4 for 5k. Took seventh at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions for cross country in 2017 as well. Took third place with her team in the four by mile at the Mt. SAC Relays her senior year of track. Coached by Chuck and Joey Woolridge.
Personal
Parents are James and Alison Overell...Majoring in Environmental Studies...career goals are to help and preserve the environment and the Earth in any way possible...athletic goals are to break five minutes in the mile and get faster each year...hobbies include watching NBA Basketball, particularly the Golden State Warriors, hanging out on the beach, listening to rap music, and hot yoga...fun fact: ate a guinea pig in Ecuador over spring break her junior year of high school.
