Biography
2013-2014: Outdoor-
Person threw in nine competitions for the Gauchos in her debutseason wearing the UCSB blue. She opened the season withthree consecutive hammer victories at the Gaucho Round-Up with amark of 152'11 and at the All UC with a throw of 162'4. In herthird win, Person eclipsed the 50m mark for the first time in hercareer, hitting a mark of 164'8 (50.19m). Person set a new lifetimebest in the hammer at the UCR Spring Break Invite with a heave of167'11. She placed fifth at the Big West Challenge Cup in thehammer, throwing 164'6. Person also saw action in the discus,setting a new personal best at the Big West Challenge with a throwof 139'7. She threw 136'8 in the discus at the All UC to placethird overall in the event. At the Bryan Clay Invite she recorded adiscus throw of 133'2. Person is eighth in the hammer on the UCSBall-time list.
Lane Community College: Competed for the LaneTitans under Head Coach Grady O'Connor. NWAACC Conference Runner-Upin the hammer. Helped the Lane women capture the NWAACC teamchampionship.
Prep
State qualifier for Shasta High School in the discus. Sether personal best of 134'10 at the Division 1 SectionChampionships. Won 10 of 13 competitions she competed in her senioryear in the discus.
