Biography
2018-2019 Track and Field
Competed in eleven meet for her first season as a Gaucho. Took fifth at the Big West Challenge where she equalled her personal best for pole vault at 3.50m (11' 6"). Equalled that mark again a week later at the SBCC Easter Open where she finished third. Bested that mark another week later at the Bryan Clay Invitational where she jumped 3.60m (11' 9.75"). Finished her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she jumped 3.59m (11' 9.25") to finish tenth overall.
Prep
Attended Santa Teresa High School where she was a CIF State Meet qualifier in the high jump in 2018. She was recognized with Senior Athlete of the Year accolades at her high school for her accomplishments in the same year. Haratani also holds the sophomore school record in the pole vault and the junior school record for the high jump at Santa Teresa. In addition to her track accomplishments, she is also an accomplished gymnast, having won a national title in gymastics. Coached by Scott Young, Mike Lawryk, Tom Blake, Paul Becker, Kenny Cleveland, and Cindy Armstrong.

Parents and Saji and Nicole Haratani...Majoring in Cell and Developmental Biology...Career Goals are to join the field of sport medicine/clinical research...athletic goals are to win a Big West Conference title and compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo...Hobbies include rock climbing, travelling, gymastics, hiking, and sleeping.
