Biography

2022 Big West Conference All-Academic Team
2022 T&F: Competed in the Don Kirby Open & Elite (Feb. 11-12) in the 60m to finish with a collegiate best 8.28… Came in second place at the UCSB Invitational (Mar. 11) with a mark of 40.42m (132’7”)... Took gold at the Challenge Cup (Apr. 8) in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 39.98m (131’2”)... Saw another silver finish at the Adidas/Steve Scott Invite (Apr. 29-30) with a monster attempt of 43.64m (143’2”)... Took fourth in the Javelin at the Big West Championships (May 13-14) but recorded a collegiate best of 44.07m (144’7”)
2018-2019 T&F: Competed in ten meets for her first season as a Gaucho. Took third in the javelin at the Gaucho Round-Up with a personal best mark of 33.48m (109' 10"). Bested that mark at the Beach Opener with a throw of 37.09m (121' 8"). Took second at the Cal Poly/UC Riverside Tri Meet in the javelin with a monster throw of 41.35m (135' 8"), a four meter personal best that would propel her all the way to fifth on the UCSB All Time List for that event. She would proceed to throw past 40m three more times in the 2019 season at the 41st Annual Aztec Invitational (40.47m), the Jim Bush Legends Invitational (40.32m), and the Bryan Clay Invitational (40.73m). Took first at the Cal Poly Dual in the javelin with a mark of 39.25m (128' 9"). Finished up her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she was 11th in 39.79m (130' 6").
High School
Graduate of Justin Siena High School. Martin was a six-time Pacific Association Champion in the Javelin as well as a 3rd place finisher at the USATF Youth Nationals in the same event in 2017. She was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that set the school record at her high school, a three time qualifier for the UC Berkeley Meet of Champions in the 300 meter hurdles, and voted the team's MVP her junior and senior year, all while being a team captain. She also played on her high school volleyball team all four years, having been on the varsity squad for three years along with being team captain and defense MVP her senior year. She was able to hold a cumulative 4.42 GPA and be on her high school's Honor Roll all four years to go along with all her athletic accomplishments. Coached by Tony and Dominic Giovanoni.
Personal
Parents are David and Tracy Martin (both alumni of UC Santa Barbara)...Has two brothers, Mitchell and Miles Martin...Majoring in Communications...Career Goal is to work in sports marketing...Athletic Goals are to set strong personal records and help the Gauchos achieve a Conference Championship Team Title...Hobbies include water skiing and beach volleyball.
