2016 Women's Track and Field
Biography
Larson became the first Gaucho woman since 2007 to score in the pole vault at the Big West Championship. In her freshman season, Larson equalled her lifetime best of 11'10 at the conference finale. She is tied for #6 All-Time in UCSB history. Look for her to continue to climb the conference and UCSB list as a sophomore.
2014-2015
Larson brought a strong vault presence to the Gauchos during her freshman campaign. She opened the year with a PV win at the Round-Up before placing sixth in the event at the All-UC Championships. SHe placed 8th at the Big West Challenge Cup then hit a new lifetime best leap at the Bryan Clay Invite, clearing 11'10. She placed second in the Cal Poly Dual, setting the stage for her Big West debut. At the conference finale, Larson became the first Gaucho since 2007 to score in the event as she placed 8th overall, again clearing 11'10.
Prep
Larson twice qualified for the CIF State Championships representing the Wolves of San Ramon Valley High School. She is the SRV school record holder in the pole vault, a mark she set at the CIF State meet. She was a four year scholar athlete at SRVHS. Prior to the state championships, Larson took a pole vault win in the NCS Meet of Champions. She also placed fifth in the pole vault as a senior at the Arcadia Invite. Also competed in cheerleading.
