Biography
2016-2017
Competed in nine meets for her first season at UCSB. Captured two first place finishes at the All-UC Challenge in the 200m and 400m with times of 25.71 and 57.16. Set a personal best in the 400m at the 39th Annual Aztec Invitational by running 56.60. Also set a personal best a week later at the UCLA Legends Invite in the 200m with a time of 25.63. Secured a win in the 400m at the Cal Poly Dual Meet where she ran 56.73. Concluded her season by helping the 4x400m Relay at the Big West Conference Championships to post up a season's best time of 3:45.24.
American River
Prior to UCSB Simpson spent two years at American River Junior College where she took part in the Junior College State Meet in the 4x400m relay in 2015 and the 4x400m relay and individual 400m in 2016. She held personal bests of 26.02 in the 200m and 57.13 while attending there.
