Biography
UC SANTA BARBARA
2022: Came in seventh at the Cougar Classic Open (Jan. 14) in high jump with a mark of 1.55m (5’1”)... With an attempt of 1.6m (5’3”), finished fifth in high jump at the Beach Opener (Mar. 4-5)... Part of the 4x400m relay that took fourth at the UCSB Invite (Mar. 11)... Recorded a collegiate best 1.65m (5’5”) mark in high jump to take second at the vince O’boyle Classic (Apr. 1-2)... Finished in seventh at the Big West Championships (May 13-14) in high jump with a mark of 1.61m (5’3.25”)
High School
- Ruby Sirota-Foster attended Westlake High School, CA.
- Coached by Troy Burns, Chad Scott, & Gary Richman
- Was a senior Team Captain
- Competed at D1 CIF in the 1600m, 800m, and 4x400m her senior year
- Ventura County Champion in the 3200m her senior year
- All-League honors and was named All-Ventura County
- Competed on Westlake’s XC Varsity team that won the Ventura County Championship & Marmonte League Finals in 2018
- Scholar Athlete all four years and was a Co-Valedictorian of Westlake HS.
Personal
- Ruby Lou Sirota-Foster was born on October 28, 2002 to Peggy Sirota and Jay Foster
- Has a sister Rae and three brothers Ely, Arlo, and Micky
- Majoring in Environmental Studies
- Loves the creative arts, music, dance, yoga, animals, and traveling
- Before she began running in high school, Sirota-Foster was a ballerina and dancer since age three
- UCSB was and is her dream school!
