2022 Big West Conference All-Academic Team
2022 T&F: Ran a college best 5000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 13-15) with a time of 17:38.80 to finish in seventh place… Saw her best performance in the 1500m at the Big West Championships (May13-14) with a time of 4:36.53 in the prelims
2019 XC :Competed in four races for her first season in uniform. Set a personal best time of 22:07.1 for 6k at the 39th Annual UCR Invitational finishing 58th overall. Also ran 22:32.7 at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational where she finished 136th.
High School
Graduate of El Camino High School where she is the current school record holder in both the 1600m and 800m. In track, she was a state meet qualifier in the 1600m as a freshman and was a CIF Division 3 San Joaquin Section Champion in the 1600m as a senior. Coached by Doug Barnes and Ross McGeehe.
Personal
Parents are Julie and Nick Chaves...majoring in biology...career goals include pursuing an occupation in physical therapy or nursing...athletic goals are to improve on their personal bests and help the team...hobbies include soccer, hiking, the beach, and food.
