2014-2015
Trumbull competed in four meets during the outdoor season before a season ending injury. She opened the year with double hurdle wins at the Round-Up. Her 400m time of 63.07 was a lifetime best while her 14.31 short hurdle effort was her #2 AT mark. She repeated the feat at the All-UC, recording hurdle times of 14.51 and 63.67 respectively. Trumbull placed third in the 100m hurdles at the UCR Spring Track Classic, running 14.40. She again pulled off the hurdle double at the Stanford Invite, finishing the short hurdles in 14.58 and the long set in 63.46. 

2013-2014 
Trumbull won three races in her signature event, the 100m hurdles during her sophomore campaign. She opened the season with a 14.68 hurdle win at the Gaucho Round-Up. She followed that performance up with a 14.31 short hurdle win at the All UC. Her third short hurdle race of the season was a gem as Trumbull ran a wind-aided 13.99. She saw action in the 400m hurdles and in the 4 x 100m relays during the regular season, running a seasons best 63.86 in the long hurdles at the All UC. Trumbull once again dipped under the 14 second barrier at the Cal Poly Dual, claiming a key victory for the Gauchos en route to their team win. Blasting out of the blocks, Trumbull flew over the flight of hurdles and lowered her all conditions best to 13.93. A 2.6 wind reading negated the run for record purposes. Trumbull came back at the Big West Championships and lowered her wind-legal personal best in the qualifying round to 14.29, placing ninth and just missing out on a spot in the final.  Her conference run in the 100m hurdles ranks fourth all-time in UCSB history. 

2012-2013
Recorded her first collegiate meet win with a wind aided 100m hurdle time of 14.34 at the Cal Poly Dual Meet. Ran 14.47 at the Big West Challenge. Also ran on the winning 4 x 400m relay at the Cal Poly Dual Meet. In her first Big West Championship Meet she finished 11th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.50.

Prep
Trumbull graduated from Oak Ridge High School where she competed under coach Lissa Mueller…Holds records in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles…Also competed in soccer and was a member of the ski team. 

Personal
Shannon Trumbull was born July 17, 1994 in Portland, Ore. to parents Katrina and Scott Trumbull…Has one older sister and one younger brother, Kelly and Michael…Is a biology major with hopes of becoming a marine biologist...Enjoys skiing, hiking, reading and traveling.
