UC SANTA BARBARA 2022: finished ninth in the 1500m at the Adidas/Steve Scott Invite (Apr. 29-30) with a time of 4:39.01… Recorded a collegiate best at the Oxy Invite (May 7) with a time of 17:18.63 in the 5000m… Finished 15th in the 5000m at the Big West Championships (May 13-14) with a time of 17:33.77 2019 XC: Competed in three meets for her first cross season in uniform. Set a personal best time for 6k at the Santa Clara University Bronco Invitational running 21:57.7.
Prep Graduate of Encinal High School where she was a three time individual qualifier for the Division 4 California State Meet in cross country and a four time qualifier for the North Coast Section Meet of Champions in the 1600m. She was awarded Athlete of the Year three in a row by her school as well as Cross Country League MVP four years in a row. Coached by Don Porteus and Derrick Lyons. Personal Parents are Kris and Rick Nelson...majoring in biology...career goals involve an occupation in the medical field...athletic goals are to help the team be successful and try new events...hobbies include water polo, the beach, and teaching children how to swim.
