Biography

2018-2019 Track and Field

Competed in 12 meets for her third season of track and field. Took first in the shot put at the Gaucho Round-Up with a huge personal best by over half a meter with a throw of 13.46m (44' 2"), getting her onto the UCSB All-Time List for the first time at number ten all-time. Set a personal personal best in the hammer at the Beach Opener with a mark of 49.42m (162' 2"). Added another half a meter to her shot put by winning the Cal Poly/UC Riverside Tri Meet on her home track with a mark of 13.96m (45' 9.75"), bumping her up to seventh on the All-Time List. Set a personal best for the discus at the 41st Annual Aztec Invitational with a 44.16m (144' 10") effort. Added even more distance to her shot put at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational with a mark of 14.12m, her first throw past the 14 meter mark. Took second in the shot put and third in the hammer at the Big West Challenge, the latter resulting in a personal best of 51.43m (168' 9"). Finished first at the Triton Invitational in the shot put with a mark of 13.66m (44' 9.75"). Also took first in the shot put at the Cal Poly Dual with a throw of 13.26m (43' 6"). Concluded her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she took fifth in the shot put in 13.52m (44' 4.25") and seventh in the discus with a personal best effort of 44.90m (147' 4"), scoring for the time at the conference meet in two events. 

2017-2018 Track and Field 

Competed in 11 meets for her second season. Won the discus at the Westmont/Pepperdine Tri Meet to set a new personal best throw of 42.17m (138' 4"). Set a personal best in the shot put at the 40th Annual Aztec Invitational with a mark of 12.72m (41' 8 3/4"). Improved on both her discus and shot put personal bests at the Jim Bush Invitational with marks of 43.63m (143' 2") and 12.92m (42' 4 3/4") respectively. Captured third place finishes in the shot put at both the Big West Challenge Cup and the Cal Poly Dual. Ended her season at the Big West Conference Championships where she finished 11th in the discus and 13th in the shot put. 

2016-2017 Track and Field 

Stepped into the throwing circle seven times for her first year as a Gaucho. Set a personal best in the shot put at the All-UC Challenge, throwing 12.22m (40' 1.25") for fourth place. Set her personal best in the discus at the same meet, throwing 39.92m (131' 0") for fifth place. Threw 41.65m (136' 8") for the hammer throw at the Ben Brown Invitational, setting another personal best in the span of seven days. Took fourth at the Cal Poly Dual Meet in the discus, throwing 39.06m (128' 2"). 

Prep

Graduated from Amador Valley High School. HS Achievements include 2016 EBAL Champion, 2016 North Coast Section Shot put Champion, fifth in Discus at CIF North Coast, Amador Valley High School Record Holder in the Shotput. Also was Varsity Captain of Women’s Water Polo. Coached by Scott Esparza.
