After four years as a student-athlete at UC Santa Barbara, Imani Clemons joined her alma mater’s coaching staff in September 2025, the first post of her coaching career. Clemons spent two of her four years in Blue and Gold playing under Head Coach Emma Myall, including a breakout senior season that saw her score 50 goals and earn All-Big West Honorable Mention in the spring of 2025.
Clemons totaled 110 goals across her 110 career games as a student-athlete for UC Santa Barbara, with 73 of them coming in the two years since Myall joined the Gauchos. Of course, 50 of those came in 2025, with Myall running the show as interim head coach. When announcing Clemons’ return to the pool deck as a coach, Myall called her “a talented water polo player both physically and mentally and … someone who will always bring a positive outlook to a situation and uplift people around her.”
A native of Laguna Beach, Clemons graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Sociology in 2025.
