UCSB Hands Defeat To UC Davis, 64-50

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) - Joe See had 12 points and two assists to help UC Santa Barbara beat UC Davis 64-50 on Sunday.

Chris Devine and Cecil Brown added 10 points each for the Gauchos (7-8, 1-3 Big West), who got their first road victory of the season.

Phil Rasmussen had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Aggies (5-11).

In a low-scoring affair in the first half, Rasmussen tied the game at 10 with a 3-point shot at the 7:46 mark.

The Gauchos outscored the Aggies 17-10 the rest of the way to take a 27-20 halftime lead.

See's basket with 4:05 left in the second half gave UC Santa Barbara a 59-39 lead.

UC Santa Barbara shot 59 percent (23-for-39) from the field for the game - 52 percent in the first half and 63.6 in the second.
