LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The UCSB women's volleyball team dropped a close match to Oregon State on Friday night, falling 25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 28-26 in their second match of the UNLV Tournament. The loss snaps UCSB's win streak at three.

Despite the best efforts of three players who had double-digit kills and setter Dana Vargas, who had 52 assists, the Gauchos lost for just the second time this season and are now 5-2. Oregon State improves to 6-2.

Rebecca Saraceno notched 21 kills while middle blockers Lily Lopez and Stacey Schmidt had 11 and 10 kills, respectively, The Gauchos led the Beavers in just about every offensive category, but UCSB had 30 hitting errors and swung at just a .208 clip, resulting in the four-set defeat. Oregon State also teamed up for 16.5 team blocks, compared to the Gauchos' 7.5.
