A trio of hat tricks was led by senior driver Ryan Brosnan, who tied the game with his first of four goals at the 5:18 mark of the opening period. Logan Sutter and Henry Allen both finished with three goals.
Santa Barbara trailed in 11-7 early in the third. Shane Hoover scored to start an 8-0 Gaucho run that extended well into the fourth. Sutter scored all three of his goals over that stretch.
After giving up nine first half goals, Roland would finish with seven saves as he and the Gaucho defense allowed just three goals in the second half.
