LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced those who received All-America honors today. As a part of that list, UC Santa Barbara's
Michelle Ohwobete was named to the All-America Honorable Mention list. This is the first All-American for the Gauchos since Lindsey Ruddins back in 2019.

Over the course of the season, Ohwobete has been the backbone of the offense for the Gauchos. She ended her final season with the Blue and Gold with 434 digs, surpassing 1,000 career kills earlier in the season. Along with that, she added 282 digs and 38 aces. She was also named as The Big West's Player of the Year and received AVCA All-Pacific South Region honors.

The Gauchos finished the season with an overall record of 27-5, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019.
