SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (March 15, 2023) — The No. 38 UC Santa Barbara men's tennis team increased their winning streak to four games on Wednesday, defeating top-75 opponent Yale at the Arnhold Tennis Center. After winning the doubles point, the Gauchos would get wins on courts one, two, and five to earn the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gauchos took the lead during doubles action, taking wins on courts one and three, both by scores of 6-3. On court 3, duo Gianluca Brunkow and Lucca Liu defeated Yale 6-3. Pablo Masjuan and Luka Mrsic earned the victory on court two giving the Gauchos a 1-0 lead as the match headed into singles play.
Phillip Jordan added to the UCSB lead with a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set victory on court one. After Yale picked up a point Pablo Masjuan the No. 110 ranked singles player comeback after dropping the first set to pick up UCSB's third point of the match. Yale tried to make a late surge but Luka Mrsic picked up the winning point on court five to give Santa Barbara a 4-3 victory and extend their win streak to four.
