SANTA BARBARA (Friday, April 14) - The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team (18-3, 3-1 Big West) got back in the win column with a 4-0 shutout victory over Hawai'i at the Arnhold Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gauchos gained an early advantage in doubles play with a 6-1 victory by Luka Mrsic and Conrad Brown on court two. UC Santa Barbara gained the doubles point after Pablo Masjuan and Gianluca Brunkow clinched it with a 7-5 victory on court three.
The Gauchos then swept through singles play. Phillip Jordan, Gianluca Brunkow, and Conrad Brown all earned straight-set victories on their respective courts. Jordan won 6-2 and 6-1 on court two, with Brunkow earning a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court four. Brown rounded out the scoring with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court five.
