MALIBU, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team is set to begin their 2024 season with two neutral site matches in Malibu. The Gauchos will compete against No. 24-ranked Michigan State on Sunday, Jan. 28 and Georgia Tech on Monday, Jan. 29. Georgia Tech has received votes in the top 25 poll each of the first two weeks it has been released during the 2024 year.

HISTORY
The Gauchos and Spartans will face off for the first time on Sunday, Jan. 28. Michigan State already has two wins under their belt defeating Western Michigan and Brown a week ago.
On Monday, UC Santa Barbara will be looking for their first-ever win over Georgia Tech, with the Gauchos winless in three previous duals against the Yellow Jackets. The two teams last met in 2016 in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.
FALL RECAP
UC Santa Barbara started strong in the fall with Pablo Masjuan and Gianluca Brunkow picking up a doubles victory against, at the time, the No. 12 ranked doubles teams in the nation in their opening fall tournament. Later on Masjuan would qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships and make a great run but ultimately fell in the quarterfinal round of the Championship.
