FRESNO, Calif. — With recent heavy rain and weather impacts delaying the grass installation and infield maintenance at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium, the Feb. 23-25 home series between UC Santa Barbara Baseball and Sacramento State Baseball will move to Chukchansi Park in Fresno, home of the minor league Fresno Grizzlies. Though the venue has changed, the dates and times for all three games will remain as scheduled, with first pitch times set at 4:05 p.m. Friday, 3:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
Additionally, the Feb. 27 game between UC Santa Barbara and St. Mary's has been rescheduled for 4:35 p.m. Tuesday May 14 and will be held at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.
UC Santa Barbara season ticket holders will be able to use their current season tickets for admission to the games in Fresno. Single-game tickets will also be available for purchase at Chukchansi Park, with prices set at $14 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under. Children under the age of three receive free admission.
Opened in 2002, when the Grizzlies were a Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, Chukchansi Park is known as one of the most modern and beautiful minor league ballparks in the country, with seating for 10,650 fans. Designed by the company responsible for Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Petco Park in San Diego and Oracle Park in San Francisco, Chukchansi features a semi-irregular shape, with a slightly shallower left field. The stadium's dimensions are: 324' to the left field foul pole, 385' to left center, 402' to center, and 335' down the line in right.
