SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team is set to travel north to the Bay Area this weekend for two matches. The Gauchos will compete against Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 3 and Cal on Sunday, Feb. 4. The Broncos are off to a hot start as they ar currently 3-0. This week Cal received votes in the ITA top 25 poll.

HISTORY
The Gauchos and Broncos will meet for the first time since the 2022 season. The last time the two teams met the Gauchos earned a shutout victory against the Broncos winning the match 7-0.
On Sunday, UC Santa Barbara will take on the Cal Men's Tennis Team. Since the 2006 season, the Gauchos hold a 1-7 record across eight matches. Last season, the Gauchos secured their first evern win against Cal in a tight 4-3 contest.
FALL RECAP
UC Santa Barbara started strong in the fall with Pablo Masjuan and Gianluca Brunkow picking up a doubles victory against, at the time, the No. 12 ranked doubles teams in the nation in their opening fall tournament. Later on Masjuan would qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships and make a great run but ultimately fell in the quarterfinal round of the Championship.
