SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis Team kicked off their homestand at the Arnhold Tennis Center this afternoon with a shutout victory over the University of Idaho. The Gauchos came out on top in both doubles and singles play to defeat the Vandals, 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gauchos had the early advantage and kept that momentum going for the remainder of the match. Opening up doubles play on court three was Conrad Brown and Luka Mrsic, who walked away with a quick 6-1 win over their Vandal opponents. Shortly after, the No. 34-ranked doubles pair Gianluca Brunkow and Pablo Masjuan earned a 6-3 victory on court one to clinch the doubles point. 

Moving into singles play, Gianluca Brunkow picked up the second point for the Gauchos in the No. 1 position, defeating Idaho's Sebastian Medica, 6-1, 6-4. Conrad Brown and Lucca Liu followed with straight-set victories to seal the fate of the Idaho Vandals. Before the win was secured, Luka Mrsic and Pierre Boullenger were both leading on courts three and six after winning their first sets.
