St. George, Utah - Day two of the MPSF championships saw both the men's and women's teams holding strong at third place, with scores of 220 and 216, respectively. The day was packed with thrilling races, showcasing the talent of the Gauchos, with five athletes clinching top three finishes in six final events.
Sophomore Annie Andres kicked off the streak, securing third place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:53.42, shaving off 0.59 seconds from her prelims performance. Taber daCosta and Owen Berry continued the momentum, with daCosta clinching second place in 4:24.87 and Berry close behind in third at 4:25.12.
Austin Sparrow and Kyle Brill added to the Gauchos' success by dominating the men's 200-yard individual medley. Sparrow claimed the top spot with an impressive time of 1:44.30, while Brill secured the bronze with a time of 1:46.62, solidifying their presence on the podium once again.
