SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team battled both the weather and Santa Clara in today's match coming out victorious. The Gauchos fought back after going down 2-0. They rattled off four consecutive wins to earn their first victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The red hot Santa Clara Broncos were too much for the Gauchos in doubles play. The Gauchos fell on courts one and two in tightly contested matches. The doubles partnership of Gianluca Brunkow and Pablo Masjuan fell 6-4 to give Santa Clara an early advantage. On court two Kai Brady and Lucca Liu fell in a heartbreaker 7-5.
As the match moved to singles the Broncos extended their lead to 2-0 after picking up a win on court three. Kai Brady got the Gauchos on the board with a straight-set victory over his opponent on court five. That was all the Gauchos would need to get momentum back on their side. Conrad Brown followed suite also picking up a straight set victory to level the match. Pablo Masjuan then gave UC Santa Barbara their first lead of the afternoon. Masjuan won in No. 1 singles 6-3, 7-6(2). Gianluca Brunkow later clinched the match for the Gauchos with strong win on court two winning, 7-5, 7-6(3).
