SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team swept through UC Riverside and CSUN Saturday to claim The Big West Regular Season Title and earn the No. 1 seed in The Big West Championships next week.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Highlanders were no match for the Gauchos early on as Camille Kiss and Lucy Lu blanked their opponent on court two to gain an early advantage in doubles play. Amelia Honer and Kira Reuter clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory in the No. 1 position to put the Gauchos up 1-0.
 
UC Santa Barbara quickly made their way through singles as 47th-ranked Amelia Honer won 6-0, 6-0 on court one to extend the Gaucho lead to 2-0. Anna Weissheim followed suit as she did not allow her opponent to win any games and blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Camille Kiss clinched the match for the Gauchos in the No. 2 position with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Like the first match, the Gauchos got out to a quick start as Camille Kiss and Lucy Lu blanked their opponent to gain the upper hand for the Gauchos. On court three Anna Weissheim and Carla Pacot clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory on court three.
 
The Gauchos nearly made it a perfect day winning five of the six singles matches. Amelia Honer quickly dominated her opponent with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. CSUN would cut the UC Santa Barbara lead in half after winning on court five. That did not rattle the Gauchos as they picked up a win on court two from Camille Kiss and a straight-set victory on court three from Tyra Richardson to clinch the match. Carla Pacot and Kira Reuter each picked up a three-set victory to finish of CSUN and claim The Big West Regular Season Championship.
