Madelyn McNally further cements her legacy at UC Santa Barbara now being named All-Region for the second time in her career. The senior was named Third Team All-Pacific Region. The La Habra native hit .424 ranking second in The Big West and 22nd nationally. Her 70 total hits in the 2024 season ranked third in The Big West and 35th nationally. She also ranks second in runs scored (141), third in hits (245) and triples (13) and fifth in stolen bases (51).

In her first season in a Gaucho uniform, Ainsley Waddell continues to reel in awards.  The Sequoia High School product hit .342 with 14 doubles (led The Big West), one triple and four home runs en route to earning NFCA All-Pacific Region Third Team honors. She was tied for the team lead in total bases (81) while also leading the team in slugging percentage (.523) and runs batted in (35). The San Carlos native ranked top 85 in doubles and top 80 in doubles per game nationally. In the circle, she pitched six complete games including a complete-game shutout against Hawai'i on March 16. Over 87.2 innings pitched the San Carlos native struck out 47 hitters.

UC Santa Barbara was one of seven schools in the Pacific Region to have multiple athletes named to an All-Region team. This also marks the first time since 2009 that multiple athletes have been named to an All-Region team in the same season.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second, and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2023 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

The 2024 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, May 29.
